North Uist is a stunning island surrounded by clear blue sea and white sandy deserted beaches which go on for miles. For bird watchers there are many species of birds only found in the Outer Hebrides.

A trip to Balranald nature reserve will have you in bird watching heaven. Fishermen will love the trout, salmon and sea trout fishing on lochs full of wild fish. Being relatively flat, North Uist is also great for cyclists and walkers.
There are many great walks from Tigh Geal, one of the best walks can be done from the front door and takes in 4 beaches and through the machair, with great views all the way.

dscf2075It makes a great day out with a picnic. From Tigh Geal you can sit with a glass of wine and enjoy uninterrupted views of spectacular sunsets over the dunes. On a clear night, with no light pollution in Sollas, the night sky is something you will never forget.
